Does anyone have a clue what is going on in the world today? I don’t know about you, but it almost seems as if we are all caught up in a whirlwind of change. One minute we know where we are and in the next moment, we realize we aren’t in Kansas anymore.
I value and trust the direction my guides offers, but in recent months, I will have to say that spirit has been remarkably silent on what direction we are to take and which path we are to follow.
Even when I try to tune into the energy of the planet all I see and feel is this giant swirl of energy, which changes daily and even hourly, leaving us little time to get a footing into the new reality as it is presenting itself in that particular moment.
The truth is as I closed my eyes to collect my thoughts and work on this article, all I could see was the scene from the Wizard of Oz, where Dorothy is sitting in her room, the tornado lifting the house from its foundations and all manner of things were flying by her window in the turbulent air outside.
I find this dynamic interesting because it seems as if our external world is reflecting our internal environment, or is it the other way around? It is hard to say. Think about it. Gas prices are up, gas prices are down. Wall street us going haywire. Everyone is regrouping, resizing and rethinking.
I don’t like to talk about conspiracies or cover-ups, but what the heck is going on?
Two weeks ago, I went to Jefferson, TX to give a presentation on Ghost Hunting, from a psychic perspective. Jefferson is about 150 miles from my home. I gassed up my car in the morning and paid over $3.50/gallon. The next morning, in Jefferson, gas prices had dropped to about $3.30/gallon. By the time I got back to Dallas, there were stations selling gas from below $3.00/gallon. Now, I have heard stories that you can get gas for less than $2.50/gallon.
I don’t know about you, but this just makes me want to go Hmmmmmmm. How can the price of gas drop over a dollar in less than 2 weeks? Did we have a gas price miracle?
Since I am on a roll here, I would like to comment on the corporate bailout here as well. I was just watching a video of Senator Sherman from California talking about the corporate bailout that was just approved by congress. The According to the Senator, the people of America were overwhelmingly against this measure, but the members of congress were pressured into passing the bill. For us, when it really came down to it, our desires, our requests were ignored.
They say that energy can not be created or destroyed. If money is a form of energy, then where is all the money? If the US government is bailing out big business and at the same time other countries around the world are going bankrupt as well, then who has all the money?
On one level, I know that this period we are in right now is critical for us in taking our next evolutionary step. We are being tasked to let go of fear and confusion and are being called our individual power back. To do this, we need to break free of the power plays and controls being exerted on the many by the few.
In looking at just these two examples, it feels as if the American people have just been slapped in the face. Personally it sickens me to think that we will have to pay for some corporate executive’s 50 million dollar annual performance bonus. It makes me laugh, they get a bonus, but their company is going under. If we could all be so lucky!
I don’t remember exactly how long ago it was, perhaps a year or two, when the many people in America looked forward to this upcoming election as a chance to bring in change. A change in how things were being done around the country. When I say that, I am not referring to Obama’s call for change, but instead the feeling of if we paid attention to what was going on, did our due diligence on the issues facing us and then made our voices hear we could put someone in office that would look out for us, the people of America.
I feel as if this hope is fading. People are frustrated. They are tired of being pushed around yet they feel powerless to do anything at all. Our ability to impact change in the way our political system and our government is structured makes it impossible for our desires, both individually and collectively to be heard, acknowledged and implemented.
Just the other day, I was doing a reading for a good friend’s son who recently broke up with his long termed girlfriend. Well sort of. His former girlfriend still wants to spend time with him and calls him daily. He hasn’t let go of her and wants to reestablish the relationship and will do anything to recreate it. She says she only wants to be friends, but in the same breath wants to spend time with him.
This has left him feeling very confused. Fear of confronting her has left him trapped and unable to move forward with his life. This dynamic of fear and confusion has left her in control of him and where their relationship will go.
I feel as if we are in a stuck in a similar situation. Dammed if you do, dammed if you don’t…
This was my advice to him and I think it fits well into this situation. You, me, we need to pick a road. To pick a road, however, you have to know where you are going. Once you know where you are going or where the road is heading, you can decide if you want to follow it or not. With a simple decision like this, all of the fear and confusion will quickly dissolve away. We can then begin to feel as if we are back on solid ground and in charge of our lives again. Ahhhhhh…what a refreshing thought that is.
People are much more controllable if they are scared, confused and don’t know what is going on. So if you are bewildered, frustrated, uncertain or afraid of what the future holds, then maybe we, yes, we need to ask those in charge, perhaps demand that those who hold the strings to our futures tell us what road they are on. Then we can decide for ourselves if we want to follow or pick a new and different road.
I don’t really like to talk politics, but when do you call enough, enough? The cloud of confusion we are currently living in, the spell of fear we are experiencing can only be broken once we have clue as to what is going on. It is only then that we decide if we want to participate or not.
